MPI's all magnetic grate (AMG series) magnets provide tramp metal protection in a variety of free-flowing product streams. Ideal for use in gravity-fed vertical chutes, hoppers, receiving areas and catch bins, all magnetic grate magnets are easy to install and efficiently and effectively protect product and processing equipment.
Magnetic drawer magnets and housings (DM-200 series) offer an economical choice for keeping product clean and equipment safe. Designed to remove medium- and small-sized ferrous tramp metal contaminants from dry, granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes, magnetic drawer magnets and housings feature removable grate-style magnets and a manual clean design.
Round grate magnets (GM series) remove medium and small-size ferrous tramp metal contaminants from dry, granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes, hoppers, housings, surge or catch bins. Easy to install and clean, round grate magnets offer efficient, economical magnetic protection of processing equipment, such as milling, extruding, and mixing machinery, while also improving product purity. As tramp metals are captured, they are washed around to the magnet’s underside where they are hidden from oncoming product flow, eliminating tramp metal "wash-off."
Square grate magnets (GM series) remove medium and small-size ferrous tramp metal contaminants from dry, granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes, hoppers, housings, surge or catch bins. Easy to install and clean, square grate magnets offer efficient, economical magnetic protection of processing equipment, such as milling, extruding, and mixing machinery, while also improving product purity. As tramp metals are captured, they are washed around to the magnet’s underside where they are hidden from oncoming product flow, eliminating tramp metal "wash-off."
MPI's offers the complete line of Eclipse lift magnets as well as MPI’s exclusive permanent magnetic parts lifter (PMPL series), designed for ferrous parts and the direct replacement of vacuum cups located on ferrous parts transfer. With Eclipse permanent magnet lift magnets, simply hook your magnet to your hoist or crane and you're ready to go. Lifting awkward and heavy loads becomes a one person job. Eclipse lift magnets are easy to install and use, require no electricity (most models), boast minimal running costs, and are safe and efficient.
MPI's magnetic tubes (MT series) are used to remove small-to-medium-sized ferrous tramp metal contaminant from a variety of product streams. Typical uses include removal of metallic grit from hydraulic reservoirs to minimize wear on machinery's seals and bushings. Magnetic tubes are also used to remove unwanted ferrous contaminants in food and chemical processing systems thus improving product quality standards. Easy to install and clean, magnetic tubes provide an economical means to protect processing equipment and improve or maintain product quality standards. As tramp metals are captured, they are washed around to the magnet’s underside where they are hidden from oncoming product flow, eliminating tramp metal "wash-off."
Plate magnets keep product and equipment free from metal fines and tramp metals. Available with ceramic, rare earth or hybrid magnetic material, MPI plate magnets are found in gravity-fed angled chutes which convey low to high product steams. Typically installed “below the flow,” where products flow over the magnetic face, plate magnets offer optimal ferrous tramp metal retention in a range of chute applications. MPI plate magnets are available in six standard magnetic strengths, fit most chute applications and range from 4” to 72” wide. Optional single- or double-stepped faces protect captured material from being “washed-off” in product flow.
MPI’s magnetic sheet separators significantly increase uptime by eliminating the possibility of “double sheets” when handling oily, sticky or pre-finished blanks in automated stamping, forming and shearing operations. Sheet separators are available in a wide variety of styles to meet specific application requirements. Standard models include permanent ceramic or rare earth magnet material, and air-operated or electromagnetic on/off design.
